The author reveals how she held her head up high after almost being defeated by the wars of this world. Her eyes are the windows to her soul; inside that soul is the power button to her inner strength that rescued her, enabling her to rise up again, to embrace her new life and to inspire many young women and all others. Today Maureen Zamagatsheni Ndlovu is successful personally and professionally. She is living with her teenage son and her youngest daughter in Midrand, Johannesburg.

When I was first privy to knowing what the title of the book was, I was unsure of what the story would reveal, more especially when ‘connecting the dots backwards’. However, when this book landed in my Kindle App last week, I was blown over! This is one powerful book, that dives head first in to a heart wrenching real life story without sparing any punches. Whilst the book ends on a very positive note I am happy to say, the journey that the author (Maureen; AKA Mo) takes us on is a real life drama normally associated with a Hollywood movie. As I read through the chapters I found myself at times getting wrapped up in the emotions and sad and angry at the situations Maureen was place in. Of course when one plans to write about a true life story that involves deep personal feelings, and situation, it is essential that one has to ‘bare all’ so to speak, along with the good, bad and ugly. Anyone that can appreciate the truth being spoken, more especially when one touches on areas that are most often not spoken about within families, or where situations are simply ignored, which in its self is very sad.I have known the author for several years although as work colleagues and more recently as a great friend who carries so much insight on life. Well done Mo, you are a true inspiration to the many women out there who find themselves in a similar situation! Thank you for taking that bold step to tell your story and for sharing so much of the darkness that you had to endure and for the bright sunshine that you, your son and daughter now enjoy, which I know will always continue.
